Happy New Year!

Just watched the ball drop on tv and am now pondering on the new year. I really have never liked New Year's Eve. I'm not sure why... Maybe I just don't understand everyone staying up until Midnight just to say happy new year's. Why do you guys celebrate New Year's? I'm trying to find out what I don't like about it. Perhaps I just don't get the hype? Who knows. But nonetheless I shall wish you all a happy new year and all the best in 2006! God bless!

i don't get it either, but every year everyone panics and desperately searches out plans. whatever, i had a fun night. i guess it's just a way of passing the time.

i too simply take advantage of a great time to be had. It's always an enjoyable time for me to see how God has moved amazingly in just one quite short year, and i love to get together with friends and fellowship in that time. but i've never been into the party scene on new years. i just like an excuse to stay out late with loved ones.

i never really liked new years either, nessa. i am not sure why, it hink it is because it can get kind of boring WAITING for something. mine have always been spent hanging out with my family, which is nice and restful. maybe if i went out partying like everyone else then id love new years?

I've never done anything great either- except for a youth group party sometime in high school. This one was spent cuddled on the couch with my honey, and a toast to our wedding year with cream soda :) I think it was my favorite yet... even though there was no midnight kiss to be had :(

I suppose it is a good excuse to stay out late iwth loved ones, but I always just figure it's strange that we need an excuse I guess. If I want to stay up past midnight, I will. Yet on new year's, it's like everyone's forced to stay up until midnight whether they'd like to or not. I suppose it's something I will never figure out. leslie, maybe next year we should go out and party and see if it's everything it's cracked up to be...

yes. lets ALL GO, we will all go to some happening club amidst the raging drunk young people of our culture, and we must be sure to be underdressed! surely then new years eve will be fun!

i walked into work today and the boss man was asking everyone how their weekends were, if they could remember their weekends at all. it made me so MAD tht he asked me, if only he knew the truth that i sat at home with my family.
